Maximiliano "Gytano" Paradiso (Argentina)

Maximiliano Gytano Paradiso (Home Page) is the first foreign instructor in Singapore for 2006.

Max comes from a stage tango background, appearing for three years in an off-Broadway production of the Thalia Spanish Theatre in USA.

He is currently living and working in New York. After spending the past month in Japan, Max is exploring Singapore and Malaysia next with his partner Yukako.

About Maximiliano and Yukako

Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Maximiliano grew up surrounded by tango, and studied with some of the most important teachers and performers, such as Nito & Elba, Omar Vega, los Dinzel, Pablo Veron, Mauricio Castro, becoming later an assistant to most of his teachers.

He has performed and taught in some of the most important tango events around the world, including the New York Tango Festival and the National Tango Day in Argentina, the Hollywood Bowl with the Los Angeles Philarmonic Orchestra, at the Bass Performance Hall of Fort Worth, Texas, at the Costa Mesa Performing Arts Center, and at the Lincoln Center Institute, NYC , and many others

He performed at the off broadway Thalia Spanish Theater for three years. In the musical Tangomania for the 2004 the show got an award winner season. Max and his partner Yukako are permanently enriching the NYC milongas with their tango exhibitions and exquisite dancing style.

Yukako Hayashi was born in Japan. She graduated from an acting school, and in 1998 completed a professional dance program at Watanabe Stage Jazz Center where she studied various dance styles, such as Modern, Ballet and Jazz under a well known teacher, Takashi Watanabe. She had been performed in several musicals and dance concerts, and came to New York in pursuit of her career as a professional dancer, then she meet Tango a year ago and she had been study intensively in Buenos Aires with many great teachers as Mauricio Castro, Carlos Gavito, Guillermina Quiroga, Osvaldo Zotto and Lorena Ermocida, Gustavo Naveira among others.

Price of each 90-minute group class:
   » $35 for adults and public
Please book your place well in advance. If there are still vacancies, you may also register at the door.

Discounts are available if you buy a season pass:
   » 4 classes = $132 (you save $2 per class, = 5.7% discount)
   » 8 classes = $256 (you save $3 per class, = 8.5% discount)
   » 12 classes = $372 (you save $4 per class, = 11.4% discount)
   » 16 classes = $480 (you save $5 per class, = 14.2% discount)
Season passes are valid for 6 months, and unused portion can be applied to subsequent workshops. Please note season passes are not refundable for cash.
