Gato Valdez and Andrea Monti (Argentina)

Gato and Andrea (www.gatotango.com) returns to Singapore for their third visit. They are seasoned stage and salon dancers, specializing in the milongueros tradition of combining simple steps with strong rhythm to achieve the perfect "on-the-ground" walk.

Because Gato and Andrea also have to visit KL and Bali, their time in Singapore is very limited. They will touch down in Singapore for only one night on 21/aug, then return again on 2/sep, before continuing their New Zealand tour on 4/sep. Any request for private classes has to fit into 3 or 4/sep daytime only.

**Ladies attending the Technique sessions should bring ballet or aerobic wear so you can do stretching and balancing exercises.

All Levels -

• Figures for Navigation : learn to navigate in crowded floor with simple patterns for half-turns, amagues, pauses, all with fluidity and musicality.
• Ladies' Techniques : discover the exercises that help you to move with grace and control.
• Adornos for Fun : learn to spice up your basic tango movements with embellishments to make the dance more musical.

Beginner to Intermediate -

• Vals : the romantic Vals is a play with the change of direction and tempo,
• Milonga : conquer your fear of the Milonga with simple rhythmic figures

Intermediate to Advanced -

• Salon 1 - Double Turns : pauses, double turns and sacadas, combinations from salida cruzada
• Salon 2 - Enganche : Turns with escapada, desplacements, enganches, and combinations.

Price of each 90-minute group class:

Discounts are available if you buy a season pass:
   » 4 classes = $132 (you save $2 per class, = 5.7% discount)
   » 8 classes = $256 (you save $3 per class, = 8.5% discount)
   » 12 classes = $372 (you save $4 per class, = 11.4% discount)
   » 16 classes = $480 (you save $5 per class, = 14.2% discount)
Season passes are valid for 6 months, and unused portion can be applied to subsequent workshops. Please note season passes are not refundable for cash.
